Our Founder

Kathleen K. Reeves

Few other attorneys know the family court system like Kathleen K. Reeves. Her insight and experience have been of great value to our clients needing localized representation. She is well-known in the court community and is well-respected by her peers, working well with other family law attorneys in reaching amicable settlements.

Experience Matters

Attorney Kathleen K. Reeves has been practicing since 1983. She has represented clients in Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin and throughout Alameda and Contra Costa Counties during serious and emotionally charged times in their lives. She established the law firm of Kathleen K. Reeves & Associates to provide personalized representation and a peaceful approach to resolving divorce and cases involving custody and visitation.

Peaceful Resolutions

For our founder, mediation is more than just the certification she earned. She believes the process to be effective in both controlling the discourse and keeping down the costs. Far too many times, divorces dissolve into petty arguments over possessions, money and time spent with children, with lawyers arguing back and forth.

About Our Founder

Ms. Reeves graduated from California State University at Hayward in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. She was accepted into the University of San Diego School of Law where she graduated in 1983 with a law degree. She immediately passed the difficult California Bar Examination and then set up her practice in San Leandro, California. She has practiced her entire career in Alameda County while residing here, as well as having grown up here. Since 1983, she has practiced primarily family law. In 1994, she obtained certification as a Divorce Mediator to expand her client services, and in 1999, she founded "Attorney-Assisted Paralegal Services," a novel approach to legal self-help.

Ms. Reeves is well-known in the legal community, particularly in the area of family law, and is regarded as a fierce, though reasonable, defender of her clients' rights.
